Blood of the Merrow by Robyn J. Fitter is a fantastic start to The Merrow Bloodline series! What completely hooked me was the blend of rich Irish mythos with a grounded, fascinating marine biology angle—it gives the classic mermaid narrative such a fresh, unique twist.
The character dynamics are wonderfully balanced. The MMC is delightfully gruff and intensely overprotective, which creates fantastic tension alongside the passionate, driven FMC. The plot keeps you guessing with a steady stream of "what the heck is happening?" moments, but the mystery delivers a deeply satisfying payoff at the end.
A captivating, urban fantasy/mythological romance—I’m eagerly looking forward to Book Two!
