Kal Locksley South African Fantasy Author
I want to do something splendid… Something heroic or wonderful that won’t be forgotten after I’m dead… I think I shall write books.
- Louisa May Alcott

Kal Locksley is a South African-born author who writes fantasy for both adults and younger readers. Under her own name, she has self-published several well-received titles that blend rich worldbuilding with emotional depth and compelling character arcs. Her early works were passion projects—stories she needed to tell—but over time, Kal has drawn on her extensive background in sales to craft stories that resonate deeply with readers. Her latest fantasy project, Frostborne Legacy, is being built around the tropes, emotional hooks, and character dynamics readers are actively seeking, combining strategy with heart.

Kal also writes high-heat short erotica under the pen name Vicky Le Bon, with a successful catalogue of self-published stories. Under the name Cassandra Sage, she authored The Encyclopedia of Kitchen Withery, published by Micropress Witchway Publishing. Her experience across genres and publishing models has helped her develop a versatile voice and a collaborative, professional approach to storytelling.

Recently, Kal has expanded into screenwriting, contributing to the magical animated project Nyla and the Long Neckies and earning a spot in the Cammy and Mike animation initiative, for her script to be adapted into an episode.

When she’s not writing, Kal is usually curled up with a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, or capturing the mischief of the wild monkeys who frequently visit her garden. She invites readers of all ages to join her on a storytelling journey that crosses genres, sparks imagination, and celebrates the magic in everyday life.
